I’m an adventure and travel photographer currently living in Alaska. I believe that there are as many definitions of ‘adventure’ as there are people. We all create our own meaning to the word.
For me, adventure requires exploration, exploration requires discovery, and discovery requires a new experience. Adventure for me has been anything from finding a cool little mushroom on a familiar path, to living in a snow cave for a winter, to sea kayaking around the Hawaiian Islands, to moving to the Alaskan bush.

Adventure is in my roots. Growing up in the plains and mountains around Laramie, Wyoming, it was easy for anything to turn into an adventure, and the outdoors were full of opportunities. The photographer part came later, after high school. As soon as I graduated, I took off on an old bike to begin exploring my state, then that fall I got a station wagon to sleep in and a set of bagpipes to earn a living with, and the whole continent was opened for exploration.
It was on that solo trip that I discovered a passion for photography. I was able to use a beat up point-and-shoot camera to take pictures that I could share with my friends, and help bring them into my story so that I wasn’t really alone.

The mission of my photography now is to connect us. While browsing these photographs you are invited to see some of the marvelous things I have encountered. By doing so My Story becomes Our Story.
